Compiz di Intel Atom, ubuntu 8.04.

Kan lagi nyoba HW baru, sebuah mainboard on board Processor Intel Desktop Boards D945GCLF. Mainboard ini sangat mungil dengan data teknis sebagai berikut :
1. Processor Intel Atom onboard with passive cooler.
2. PS/2 mouse port.
3. PS/2 keyboard port.
4. Serial port.
5. Parallel port.
6. LAN Port.
7. VGA Port.
8. 4 USB Port.
9. Sound Port.
10. Front Panel Audio port.
11. 2 front panel USB port
12. S/PDIF port.
13. 1 PCI slot. (Ingat Slot ini hanya 1 buah saja).
14. 1 DDR2 slot.
15. 1 IDE port.
16. 2 SATA port.
17. 4 pin power.
18. 24 pin main power.

1. 1 CD driver.
2. 1 IDE Cable.
3. 1 SATA Cable.

Harga di tempat saya : Rp 850.000,-

Kebetulan ada HDD lama yg sudah berisi sistem Ubuntu 8.04, trus saya pasang dengan RAM 1 Gb V-Gen. Langsung jalankan. Sistem Ubuntu di HDD dapat dibaca dengan baik walaupun tanpa diinstall.

• Trus saya configurasi networknya supaya bisa connect ke internet.
  Trus saya update repository Ubuntu 8.04.
  Trus buka Synaptic Package Manager.
  Trus search : compizconfig-setting-manager, lalu install.
  Trus Buka : System> Preferences> Advanced Desktop Effect Settings.
  Trus aktifkan : Wobbly Windows, Rotate Cube, dan Water Effect.

Saatnya mencoba water effect.
Inisiate dengan menekan combinasi Control+Super.
Mainkan effect rain tekan : Shift + F9.

Its work, tanpa masalah. Bravo Ubuntu 8.04.
